James Logan High School Hidden Gem in Union City

When speaking with buyers, one thing that gets overlooked about Union City is how good the schools are and one that does not get enough credit is James Logan High School. James Logan High School was built in 1959 right across from the Union City Library, Union City Townhall, and Union City Police Department. It is the only high school in Union City and has close to 3,500 students.

One of the great things that James Logan is known for is their Dual Enrollment. With Dual Enrollment, your child gets the advantage of getting both their high school and college credits at the same time. The second thing that James Logan is excellent at is their Forensic Program. The program first started in 1989 and has won the School of Excellence Award for 23 years in a row. They also offer a summer program for grades 7 and up that is open to all New Haven Unified School District students.

Lastly, another great program that James Logan offers is their Band and Colorguard. I am a Logan Alum and graduated in 2010. One thing I remember and still to this day is how good this program is. During my sophomore/Junior year, I remember the whole school talking about how this program was going to the Beijing Olympics in 2008 to do a performance.
